Impatient Zigzag

I was going to wait to publish my Zigzag crochet blanket pattern until the Deramores yarn pack was available, but I finished the pattern at the end of last week and was so excited I couldn't wait and published it on Friday instead :-)

You can find it on Ravelry - HERE
And Etsy - HERE

I love seeing all the colours of the spectrum together, so I started experimenting to see if I could use them all together in the right order, Zigzag Crochet Blanket is the result.
My blanket contains 25 colours in total, plus an extra one which creates the zigzag effect.
Zigzag measures 45 x 52 inches.

Yarn
Zigzag is made with 1300 gms of 4 ply/fingering weight yarn (360/400 metres per 100 gms)
You can use any 4 ply/fingering yarn you wish, as long as it’s all roughly the same meterage.

Colour Palette

I used hand-dyed yarn for Zigzag, which makes the colours impossible to match, so I have chosen a collection of yarns which will create a very similar effect.
The pattern contains detailed information about the recommended replacement colours.

The pattern is written in both UK and US terms, its made using a very simple triangle motif.
There are step by step construction charts and a numbered colour chart.
The key to creating the colour effect is to keep the colours in the right order, I thread them onto a circular knitting needle, there's more info in the pattern.

I will post another blog post when the Deramores yarn pack is ready.
